Permissions

Permissions in Grafieks are essential for controlling access and managing user actions within the platform. Properly configuring and applying these permissions is key to maintaining security and governance efficiency. This guide outlines the various types of permissions and explains their significance.

Grafieks provides distinct permissions for managing Projects, Workbooks, and Data Sources. This tailored permission setup ensures that unauthorized changes are prevented while granting the appropriate access levels to different teams.

Note In current version of Grafieks, permissions can be assigned at group level. Permissions cannot be assigned at individual user level.

Workbook Permission

Note:

  • Permissions are applied in a bottom-up approach, starting from the workbook and extending to the project. If a user group has permission to view the Project folder but is not granted access to the workbook, the group will not be able to view the workbook.
  • Only owner of the workbook can edit the workbook. Transfer of ownership is not available in current version of Grafieks.
