Data alert
With Data Alerts, users are automatically notified when data meets predefined criteria, helping them respond quickly and strategically in their business operations. Data alerts can be delivered via email or as in-app notifications within Grafieks Cloud. The current version supports setting up alerts on data sources using thresholds and date-time parameters, though time parameters are optional.
Creating an alert
You can create alert:
- from quick create button
- or task from the menu
Both options will navigate you to the alert creation page.
Complete the following sections there:

Data Source: Your available data source options depend on your permissions. If the required option is not visible, please contact your Grafieks administrator.

Alert Title: For reference add a title for the alert condition.

When to trigger this Alert: Define the condition that must be satisfied for the alert to activate.

Do you want to add a timestamp Condition? This setting determines whether to check for events or transactions that occurred between the previous and upcoming alert runs. Instead of evaluating the entire dataset, it will focus on a subset of data filtered by the incremental field. If you prefer the condition to be evaluated across the entire dataset, regardless of when the event occurred, you can disable this option by unchecking the checkbox.

How often should rules be checked: Select the frequency at which Grafieks should check if your data satisfies the conditions specified in the Alert Conditions. All times for the scheduler are in UTC.

What actions should be executed? Choose the channel for sending the alert (Email or In-app) and specify the message to be included in the alert.
- Email: To send an email, select the checkbox and click the 'Edit Email' button. The alert condition will be included by default, and you can customize the email body as needed. In the current version of Grafieks, recipients must be entered manually. Multiple email addresses can be added, separated by semicolons.
- In-app: Enable in-app notifications by selecting the checkbox. Leave it unchecked to disable notifications.
Editing and Deleting an alert
Navigate to "Task" from the menu. Click on the "..." and from the options, you can either click on delete or edit.

Everyone
- Users can edit the alerts they have created, but cannot modify alerts created by others.

Admins
- Admins have the ability to edit and delete any alert. Please note that deletions are permanent and cannot be undone.
- Additionally, admins can add or remove recipients for any alert, including those created by other users.
FAQ
1. Can I create alert from the report or dashboard?
The current version of Grafieks do not have this feature but we have this in plan for this year.
2. Is it possible to use 'OR' operator in alert conditions?
No, 'OR' conditions cannot be applied to alerts at this time.
2. Which time zone is used for sending alerts?
In the current version of Grafieks, alerts are sent using the UTC time zone.
